Eddie Vedder Spoke – Bio

Eddie Vedder (Edward Louis Severson)
Born December 23, 1964
American musician, singer and songwriter best known as a member of the grunge band Pearl Jam, with whom he performs lead vocals and is one of three guitarists. He is known for his powerful baritone vocals.

Eddie Vedder Spoke – Explanation

I don’t even know if the concept came across

there was shot in the video that we didn’t keep

of the young kid with the gun in his mouth

certain people wouldn’t let us show it

I understand, ya know

I understand why they don’t want teenagers with guns in their mouths in front of a classroom

I understand

wayne-pa-probate-lawyers-trust-living-eddie-vedder-spoke-2

but, uh, that’s what happened

I’m not making it up, ya know

and I’m sorry that there is a reason to make this video

or to write that song or a song about that

it shouldn’t have happened

[…]

I’m sorry that people had to watch it so many times

One of the awards included Video of the Year.

Jeremy Spoke – Pearl Jam – Note

“Jeremy” [ … ] takes its main inspiration from a newspaper article about a 15-year-old boy named Jeremy Wade Delle from Richardson, Texas who shot himself in front of his English classmates on the morning of January 8, 1991.

In a 2009 interview, [Eddie] Vedder said that he felt “the need to take that small article and make something of it—to give that action, to give it reaction, to give it more importance.”

“As I Come Clean” – Pearl Jam

“Just Breathe”
Released October 31, 2009

“As I Come Clean” – Pearl Jam – Note

… Dear Me …

… “as I come clean” …

… I lost a great friend the other day …

… (same way when Jeremy Spoke In Class Today) …

… on one hand, I feel like writing to him …

… but on the other hand, I cannot …

… so I am not quite sure as to how to do this …

… I want to tell everyone that he is no longer here …

… but then again I do not…

… I want to tell everyone how I feel …

… but I don’t know how I feel …

… I want to tell everyone what he meant to me …

… but I haven’t come to terms with that …

… I want to hug his wife and somehow ensure her she will be okay …

… but I am helpless with that endeavor …

… So I guess I will just breathe today …

… I do not know what I will do tomorrow …

… But I will be back …

… Peace …

… Love love love, etc. …

“Just Breathe” – Live At Austin City Limits – Pearl Jam

Yes I understand
That every life must end
As we sit alone
I know someday we must go

Yeah I’m a lucky man
To count on both hands
The ones I love
Some folks just have one
Yeah others they got none

Stay with me
Let’s just breathe

Practised on our sins
Never gonna let me win
Under everything
Just another human being

I don’t want to hurt
There’s so much in this world
To make me believe

Stay with me
All I see

Did I say that I need you?
Did I say that I want you?
What if I did and I’m a fool you see
No one knows this more than me
‘Cause I come clean

I wonder everyday
As I look upon your face
Everything you gave
And nothing you would take
Nothing you would take
Everything you gave

Did I say that I need you?
Did I say that I want you?
What if I did and I’m a fool you see
No one knows this more than me
I come clean

Nothing you would take
Everything you gave
Hold me ’till I die
Meet you on the other side
