Philadelphia Pa Beneficiary Lawyers

There are many factors that can affect the distribution of estate assets. In some cases, there may be a Pa Will that identifies you as a beneficiary; in other cases, there may not be a will at all. In still other cases, there may be a dispute involving the administration of the estate. For example, a beneficiary may disagree with how the executor or personal representative is distributing assets.

Philadelphia Pa Estate Administration Lawyers

Pa Estate Administration is the process of settling a decedent’s affairs. When a loved one passes away, it can be an emotional time. In addition to grieving their passing, those that survive them must tie up all the legal and financial loose ends related to their life and estate. This includes addressing their Pa Last Will and following its instructions.

Philadelphia Pa Estate Lawyers

Pa Estate law comprises many areas of law. However, all of these areas of law focus on taking care of one’s person and property. Estate law is all of the laws that impact how a person makes decisions and issues directives about their personal affairs. A Pa Estate is anything that makes up a person’s net worth. Very simply, an estate is what a person has in their own name alone.

Philadelphia Pa Estate Litigation Lawyers

Most estates, especially when there is a proper will in place, are easily settled. Yet there are times when other factors complicate the issue, creating a situation that requires more careful consideration. For example, a family business, an estate that is in bankruptcy or an estate that holds significant amounts of real estate may become complicated quite quickly. This is where estate litigation comes into play.

When an individual acts in a fiduciary capacity such as a Pa Executor of a Pa Last Will or a Pa Trustee of the financial assets of another person or entity, they have the responsibility of keeping accurate financial records. Those records should show how money was spent, invested or distributed while under the fiduciary’s care and control. Proper accounting can bring to light the mismanagement or bad investment of funds should an issue arise with an interested party.

2022 Martindale AV Preeminent

wayne-pa-probate-lawyers-2022-martindale-av-preeminent

Philadelphia Pa 2022 Martindale AV Preeminent

The Philadelphia Pa 2021 Martindale AV Preeminent Peer Review Ratings evaluates lawyers based on the anonymous opinions of members of the Bar and the Judiciary, including both those who are rated and those who are not. The first review to establish a lawyer’s rating usually occurs three years after his/her first admission to the Bar.

In this highly competitive environment for legal services, the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating is often one of the only means to differentiate lawyers who are otherwise very comparable in their credentials. This is important on a variety of levels – from the in-house counsel trying to determine which one of his outside law firms should be assigned a new matter to the private practice attorney seeking to refer a case to another lawyer with the appropriate expertise in a specific area of practice.

Martindale-Hubbell conducts secure online Peer Review Ratings surveys of lawyers across multiple jurisdictions and geographic locations, in similar areas of practice as the lawyer being rated. Reviewers are instructed to assess their colleagues’ general ethical standards and legal ability in a specific area of practice.

We’re very proud of this recognition from our peers. Please let me know if you have any questions about the services we provide to our clients.

Philadelphia Pa 2021 Martindale AV Preeminent – Martindale Ratings

For more than 130 years, Martindale-Hubbell has been evaluating attorneys for their strong legal ability and high ethical standards through a Peer Review Rating system. Prior to the 1887 edition of Martindale’s American Law Directory, which was the first publication to provide such ratings to attorneys, there was no way of truly knowing if the lawyer you were considering to do business with was trustworthy, ethical, or skilled in the legal field.

Today – Martindale-Hubbell continues to provide verified ratings for attorneys based not only on their legal ability and ethical standards as judged by their peers, but also based on reviews from their clients. While the criteria and format of the Peer Review Rating system has evolved since the 1800’s – the goal of Martindale-Hubbell ratings remains the same: to help keep the public informed when making the decision to do business with an attorney or law firm.

“Don’t Worry – it’s Not Loaded” – Terry Kath

Terry Alan Kath
Born January 31, 1946 – Died January 23, 1978
American Musician, Guitarist, “Chicago” Founding Member

“Don’t Worry – it’s Not Loaded” – “Chicago”

Kath was regarded as Chicago’s bandleader and best soloist; and his vocal, jazz and hard rock influences are regarded as integral to the band’s early sound. He has been praised for his guitar skills and described by rock author Corbin Reiff as “one of the most criminally underrated guitarists to have ever set finger to fretboard”.

For the group’s second album, Kath contributed an extended guitar solo on “25 or 6 to 4”, which became a live favorite.

“Don’t Worry – it’s Not Loaded” – Death

dont-worry-its-not-loaded-2

Terry Kath was a noted gun enthusiast. Regardless of Kath’s personal issues (drug use, alcohol use, weight problems, depression, etc.), it has been concluded Kath’s death was by an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound, and not a suicide.

By 1978, Kath was regularly carrying guns around and enjoyed playing with them. Around 5 p.m. January 23, after a party at roadie and band technician Don Johnson’s home in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, Kath took an unloaded .38 revolver and put it to his head, pulling the trigger several times on the empty chambers.

Don Johnson warned Kath several times to be careful. Kath then picked up a semiautomatic 9 mm pistol and, leaning back in a chair, said to Johnson, “Don’t worry about it … look, the clip is not even in it.” To satisfy Johnson’s concerns, Kath showed the empty magazine to Johnson. Kath then replaced the magazine in the gun, put the gun to his temple and pulled the trigger.

However, there was a round in the chamber, and Kath died instantly.

“Don’t Worry, it’s Not Loaded” – “25 or 6 to 4”

“25 or 6 to 4” is a song written by the American musician Robert Lamm, one of the other founding members of Chicago. According to Lamm, the song is about trying to write a song in the middle of the night. The song’s title is the time at which the song is set: 25 or 26 minutes before 4 AM.

Because of the unique phrasing of the song’s title, “25 or 6 to 4” has been incorrectly speculated to be a veiled reference to drug quantities, or a mystical allusion.

“Good Riddance” – Graham A. Chapman
Born January 8, 1941 – Died October 4, 1989
English Comedian/Writer/Actor/One Of The 6 Members Of Monty Python

“Good Riddance” – Background

Chapman was openly homosexual and a strong supporter of gay rights, and was in a relationship with David Sherlock for most of his adult life.

Although Chapman graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge and St Bartholomew’s Medical College, he turned down a career as a doctor to be a comedian. Chapman established a writing partnership with John Cleese, which reached its critical peak with Monty Python during the 1970s.

Later, during his college tour, Chapman mentioned that a television audience member had written to the Pythons to complain about having a gay group member, adding that the Bible said any man who lies with a man should be taken out and stoned. With other Pythons already aware of his sexual orientation, Eric Idle jokingly replied that they had found the perpetrator and killed him.

wayne-pa-probate-lawyers-funerals-good-riddance-2

Chapman took up pipe smoking aged 15, which continued for the remainder of his life. He began drinking heavily during his time at Cambridge and St Bartholomew’s, favouring gin.

By the time Monty Python went on tour in 1973, Chapman’s drinking had begun to affect his performance, missing cues to go on stage. Chapman stopped drinking in Christmas 1977, concerned at being able to act in Life of Brian successfully, and remained sober for the rest of his life.

Chapman died of tonsil and spinal cancer on 4 October 1989, on the eve of Monty Python’s 20th anniversary, and his life and legacy were commemorated at a private memorial service at St Bartholomew’s with the other Pythons.

“How Much I Miss Him” – Note

John Lennon and Elton John were good friends.

They performed a duet on Lennon’s 1974 hit “Whatever Gets You Thru the Night”, which the pair performed live at one of John’s concerts in the same year, together with two other songs.

As part of Elton’s 1982 “Jump Up!” tour, Elton John performed “Whatever Gets You Thru the Night” live at Madison Square Garden, with Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono and their son Sean in the audience. Elton is also John Lennon’s son’s (Sean’s) godfather.

now one of the greatest moments of my life

not only in just my musical life

but my personal life

was in this very building

in 1974

someone came on stage

and sang 3 songs with us

and I’d never heard a reception

in the whole of my life like it

it was 10 minutes

of the most deafening roar

and that person was very special

and of course you know

I am talking about John Lennon

so, I wanted to do

a very famous John Lennon song

because every time I play this building

I think of him

and how much I miss him

and how much he enriched all our lives

so this is a song called

“Come Together”
